When to Reject Hipobuy QC Photos
Approve or reject — what defects matter on shoes, bags and clothing.
The QC step is where Hipobuy’s buyer protection is strongest. Once you approve and the item ships, your options narrow. This guide helps you decide correctly every time.
Always reject — no exceptions
- Wrong item entirely — different model, colourway or product
- Wrong size — size tag in QC doesn’t match your order
- Broken hardware — zipper, buckle or lace hole damaged
- Major visible defects — large scuffs, tears or stains
- Missing accessories — box, dust bag or laces missing when listing included them
Usually reject
- Significantly off-centre logos
- Loose stitching — not one thread, but clearly poor construction
- Sole delamination — outsole already separating from midsole
Request more photos before deciding
Add a comment in the QC field: “Please show close-up of left Swoosh from front” or “Please show size tag inside shoe”. Most agents complete extra shots within 24 hours.
Always approve — these are non-issues
- Dark or low-contrast QC photos — request better lighting instead
- Laces aren’t tied — not a defect
- Minor glue residue on sole — cleanable
